As we all should know, London Fashion Week ended last week and moved to Milan; and what an enjoyable time it was to see what trends are set to evolve in Spring/Summer 16. With the likes of the Burberry catwalk filled with amazing celebrities on the front row, or Vivienne Westwood showing of her daring designs there’s no denying that each day of LFW was packed full of glamour and drama!
Paul Smith Spring/Summer 16 definitely focuses around the idea of holiday filled pieces; think soft and floaty and full of lots of summer colours like sunset orange and white. Paul must have had the concept ‘breathable layers’ in mind when creating his pieces, which is why they are so wearable and practicable for the summer heat. We absolutely loved the panelled dresses and mixture of animal prints and florals that featured on his runway!
We all love a good Burberry show, and can always guarantee that what we see will make us envious of the models wearing it… there’s really no denying that! What appeared to be the main concept in the Spring/Summer 16 show was women wearing men’s tailoring… almost British Officer style. The gold details and caged ankle boots will be a must have thing come Spring next year. Also the traditional Burberry trench coats got revamped and could be seen covered in the most exquisite prints.
