Steal His Style- Oliver Cheshire

Untitled-1 copy

Oliver Cheshire, as you may or may not know is an English male model. He was first scouted at the age of 15 by Select Model Management and has since modelled for Dolce and Gabbana, Missoni, Vivienne Westwood and Hollister. Oliver also has his own blog and was named one of GQ’s ’50 Best Dressed Men Of 2015′. It’s really no surprise then that him and Pixie Lott are together, as they both have the perfect styles and combined they are a serious power couple to watch.

Oliver creates many perfectly styled outfits such as his ‘Timeless Gent’ suits in which he mixes high street with luxury. Then on the other hand you can sometimes see him creating a ‘Rock N Roll’ mood with his leather biker jackets and sixties Chelsea boots.

Turtle Neck Jumpers:

We know that Oliver likes to pair his black turtle necks under smart suits for that retro look. This Armani Collezioni jumper is 100% Oliver Cheshire approved. Why not layer this with an open shirt and coat similar to Oliver’s ‘biker’ look.

This Vivienne Westwood roll neck jumper with the attached ‘orb emblem’ detailing is both a mix of luxe and comfort. Oliver would pair this number with a fitted blazer and some suit trousers.

Retro Jackets:

This thick black Hugo ‘Lanex’ leather jacket would be Oliver’s day time go to jacket for wearing with super skinny black jeans and a white logo tee for the ultimate monochrome look.

We love this trench style Hugo Boss ‘Mater’ coat with the button detailing and the attached belt. We can imagine Oliver in this, especially as one of his favourite colours is navy which he wears to perfection all year round.

Smart Shoes:

So we know that Oliver absolutely adores a formal shoe no matter what the occasion and we just know his style focuses around them. These Paul Smith ‘Christo’ brogues with punch hole detailing will look perfect paired with a smart trouser or even a fitted jean for during the day.

For a brogue that is slightly more formal then these Boss Black ‘Certeo’ shoes are what you need. The darker tip and air hole detailing as well as the darker colour mean they will be ideal for the winter, which is fast approaching!

All About Our New Brand Filling Pieces

Filling-Pieces-AW-2014-Lookbook-29 copy

Filling Pieces is a new brand at Thackerays and we love the fact the designs and styles of the trainers are like nothing we’ve seen before… they take you away from your classic trainer and let you dive into a word of creativity.

The brand was created in Amsterdam in 2009 by Guillaume Phillibert who wanted to create a shoe brand that had both the influence of high end and street wear. He therefore wanted to create an affordable, luxe shoe that still remained sporty and therefore he chose the name ‘Filling Pieces’ to represent him filling a gap in the market.

Filling Pieces designs represent the culture in Amsterdam and is shown by the clean colours and wild styles of the trainers.

Style Steal Olivia Palermo

Untitled-1 copy

Olivia Palermo is an American socialite who has always been one of our favourite style muses in the fashion industry as she knows how to work nearly every trend that has ever existed.  We adore her street style and how she can wear smart co-ords one minute and the next casual turned up jeans and heeled boots, we really love her mix between designer and high street while always remaining perfect wherever she steps out off.

So, seeing as Olivia has a to die for closet we thought we would give you some ideas into dressing just like her.

The long coat:

64689-1This long French Connection coat in royal blue is a truly English coat that with the splash of colour can be paired with an outfit that needs that added touch of something to make it complete. Olivia loves a warm coat that stands out, and she would definitely layer it with a a white shirt and some overturned denim jeans, for the ultimate street chick look.

For a more wearable jacket that will go with more then this Armani Jeans jacket is the one for you. The black and white woven design creates a subtle pattern, and would look amazing with an all black outfit!

Preppy Burgundy:

64184-1You will often see Olivia sporting the preppy look with the white preppy stripe, and as well as this she loves to include burgundy in her looks… especially towards Autumn and Winter. This Armani Jeans jumper includes both of these features within one, and will be perfect in the cold weather, making sure you will always be warm.

This French Connection berry knitted turtle neck is almost an exact match for Olivia’s turtle neck jumper, which she wears with a burgundy skirt and some nude heels.

Denim Jeans:

Olivia loves a good pair of light blue denim jeans in which she can turn over and the ankles. Well, if you are looking for a tight fitting Jean that looks just like something Olivia would wear then these J Brand ‘Maria High Photo’ jeans are the ones for you.

For63434-1 a darker shade of blue denim jeans these Boss Orange slim fit jeans in a mid wash are definitely a winter denim to add to your wardrobe this year. Wear with an oversized knitted jumper for comfort and warmth this Winter.

All New Calvin Klein

We like to think of Calvin Klein as a well known designer that produces such wearable and casual pieces, the ideal necessity really when it comes to everyday wear. He has shown that his products are different from other high end designers as the superb unique detailing offers a spin from your typical casual items.

This Autumn/Winter he has given us even more products to feast our eyes on and wear non stop. We love the denim jacket with the faux fur lining which creates comfort and style all in one, wear this with some super skinny jeans and a CK tee for the ultimate layering genius. We also love the box fit crop top which fits lovely as the oversized feel creates a relaxed look and is available in black and white…you definitely won’t be able to get enough of it!

The Savage Beauty Exhibition

Alexander McQueen’s Savage Beauty Exhibition came to a halt on Sunday 2nd August and showed us insight into his bold and exquisite collections as well as his interesting and fascinating life.

glass_cases_1000px (1)

The exhibition was held at the Victoria and Albert museum which set the stage for a delightful and elegant showcase of his work. What was even better was how each room; filled with a different collection had music and lights catered to the mood in which the clothes portrayed. So therefore one of his last collections based around the idea of flowers featured bright lights and soft music. What was even more interesting was his inspiration behind each collection, and the colours and patterns that were chosen.

In one of the rooms, there were many TV’s scattered around which showed his runway’s over the years dating back to 1992. This room was filled with some of his more daring pieces such as tight corsets and head pieces with large butterflies placed over them. Then in another room was a hologram of Kate Moss featured in yards of rippling fabric which would have featured in his Fall 2006 show.

The exhibition was definitely one of a kind!

Ways to feel more confident in what you wear

sss colllpy

Have you ever wondered how to feel more confident in what you wear? Well here are a few tips to make sure you feel and look as fabulous as you should…

1) Dress comfortably but stylish:

There is nothing better than feeling and looking good in what you wear so make sure that when you get up in the morning you throw on something that will make you feel special. It’s also always important to make sure that comfort is obtained with what you wear, as there’s nothing worse than feeling as though you have stepped out the house in the most un-comfiest piece that is constantly annoying you throughout the day.

2) Find what suits you:

Find out what colours best suit your skin complexion and channel these in your everyday outfits, this will make sure that you are always looking bang on trend and that everything you wear looks super amazing. Also make sure that you are wearing things that best suit your body shape so that you stand out from the crowd and stay clear of anything that drowns you out!

3) Make an effort:

Whether you are going out for lunch with some friends or a small family party always dress to impress as going that extra mile with your outfits will always leave a smile on your face, as well as grabbing the attention of others who will want to know how you get to look so fabulous.

4) Don’t triple trend it:

Trends can be a good way of sticking with what’s in and what’s not, and sometimes wearing two trends at once can be a great way of looking chic. However you want to make sure that you are still rocking the trend, so try to avoid wearing more than two trends at the same time, as they say less is more!
