Belstaff was founded in 1924 and was relaunched in 2011. It has since become a very ironic Mens brand, and more recently women’s as well. The main focus of Belstaff is to provide it’s customers with rugged, masculine style clothing and boy do we love a good jacket with that added edge.
We see Belstaff as providing us with jackets that become our favourites, the kinda ones you don’t want to take off and have forever.. and it’s no surprise that Belstaff’s heritage was providing the British Armed Forces with jackets through both World Wars. They are definitely a brand with a lot of history and charisma, and they promise not to disappoint, which is why they are the jacket maker of choice for generations of motorcyclists!

Here at Thackeray’s we like to be ahead of time, knowing what will be in next season and how to wear the next biggest trends means that we can always let you in on the secrets that is…what will you be wearing in Autumn/Winter 15.
The Ladylike trend:
This trend is for all you classy ladies that enjoy covering up and working minimal chic, such as the likes of turtle necks and heels. The soft colours create simple elegance and will make you change your mind about all black outfits!
So, we all know that layering is something that comes natural during the winter months… with it being so cold and everything. However recent designers are giving layering a whole new meaning, pairing shirts over jumpers and creating that tough look. Get your winter knits and coats ready for this trend!
So geek is quite a tricky trend to master, but recent designers have shown that it’s actually an easy trend to style. Tweed jackets and tailored trousers will be your go-to style for work, pairing them with Mary-Jane heels for that added touch of chic.
It’s officially summer here in the UK meaning that you will more than likely have planned or are planning to go abroad or somewhere in the UK, and you know what that means… you need to decide what to pack.
There’s plenty of celebrity muses to steal from, such as Beyonce who has really shown us how to dress like a beach goddess this year; with her beach wave hair and colourful summer outfits, we definitely want to take some style inspiration from her. We love the clash of patterns and colours in this look, and of course the pink glasses to match the pink sarong, Beyonce really knows how to make that summer statement!
Then we have Rihanna who has been showing us how to do the classic white summer, girly look. This outfit she wore to the Spring/Summer New York Fashion week. The shift dress really complements her figure and shows off her long legs. The white lace up shoes keeps the outfit simple and sophisticated… the perfect outfit for a summer party!
And if you want a muse that is more glam then Miranda Kerr has been rocking the city vibes in gorgeous midi dresses, white flares and silk patterned tops. Here she opts for a more casual city outfit, but none the less she still manages to look super chic with her slicked back hair; ideal for when the weather is hot. She pairs her shorts with a bright coloured t-shirt and a light grey bag to keep the colours fresh and summery.
John Legend and Chrissy Teigan have been one of those couples that more recently have shown us how amazing two people can dress when in a relationship. The super gorgeous model Chrissy has shown what an open couple her and John are, revealing a little too much in recent interviews… but that’s one of the reasons we love them. The other, well of course they always look on trend side by side, and here at Thackeray’s we want to give you ideas into dressing like such a powerful, fashionable couple.
While Chrissy often opts for denim distressed jeans and a blazer, or basic tees and tanned bags, John often goes for a super low key style with looser jeans and v neck jumpers… whatever the pair wear we always know we will be in love with it!
These J Brand denim mid wash jeans are the perfect skinny fit to extenuate your features, which makes them flattering and other stars have been seen in the brand jeans, so you know you are getting excellent, star worthy quality.
This Micael Kors Riley bag in pale gold is the ideal chic bag to add that touch of glam to any outfit. Chrissy Teigan would definitely pair this with a slouchy fine knitted jumper and denim shorts in the summer, for that ultimate laid back beach look.
This Religion Merge top in white is your summer staple; soft and flowy and totally edging towards the bohemian vibes, it will look amazing as a basic necessity paired with any colour skirt or trouser of your choosing.
These Boss Black subtle wash jeans are the ones for you men that love the slimmer fit and what can go wrong with a classic denim blue which goes with everything? John would adore these, pairing them with a checked shirt or plain white tee for any occasion.
This Paul Smith button down checked purple, white and blue shirt is a casual slouchy shirt which is similar to the one John wears with denim jeans and a belt to give that masculine look.
This Vivienne Westwood v-neck jumper is basically a match for John Legends; which he wears with a pair of blue smart trousers. The added ‘orb emblem’ creates a subtle design and what could be better?
Season after season, year after year, we rely on our favourite pair of jeans to withstand all weathers and adventures we get up to. Then arrives the dreaded day when the elastic goes, they get baggy knees or the colour fades to a point where they’re no longer acceptable to wear anymore.
Ahead of autumn we want to give your jean collection a re-vamp. Throw away your sacred pair of black skinny jeans and find a new pair which you can love unconditionally with no fear of ghosts in the closet.

And the SPF 50 also means that protection from the sun will be a lot easier in these amazing tops, not to mention super comfy with their cotton texture.

As one of Ted Bakers proud stockists, we were fortunate enough to be invited to the preview of their SS16 collection for men and women. Located in the AMAZING Leadenhall Building, we travelled up to the 36th floor where we had a 360 view of London! As we walked into the show room we were greeted with champagne and stifling heat to set the atmosphere, along with rows of tropical trees and a jungle-esque backdrop.
After talking to new and familiar faces for a while, we were all seated (and found our Ted gift bags…) and the fun began.
One of the things we loved about the show was the changing background featuring the seasons must-have prints, played to a montage of our favourite summer songs you will be loving this summer and the next. In true Ted style there was floating birds in graphic prints over bright backgrounds to create that tropical feel.
And then came the clothes…
From pretty pastels and bold flower prints, everything we saw we LOVED.
Take a look below to preview some of our favourite looks from the show.
1. This skirt and jacket co-ord finished off with a lovely pink roll neck was one of the first looks to come out, and it stayed in our minds throughout the whole show. The slight glittery/shiny material makes the co-ord perfect for summer events or equally as lovely as separates. Go 60’s with thick wedge heels and cat-eye sunglasses.
2. This print was AMAZING! The large check mixed with the floral is something we’ve seen before but Ted has basically reinvented it for 2016. Our favourite look out of the 4? The trouser and shirt combo! Which you can see closer up below:
3. The traditional way to end a fashion show? With a wedding dress of course! These two proposed (sorry, we can’t help a pun) some serious relationship goals when strutting down the aisle ( and again, oops!) for the final look. Looking for a wedding dress? Get your inspo here.
The SS16 collection is truly something to look forward to and get excited about… don’t worry there’s only 6 months to wait!
P.s we will let you know when it’s here!
We have been drooling over the most beautiful designs we ever did see over at Paris Couture fashion week, and not to mention the trendiest street style… what more could you ask for in the city of love?
And the one fashion show that stood out the most was the Versace show which featured everything from romantic lace in traditional Versace black; which the likes of Kendall Jenner embraced, and contrasted with the elegant pastels being shown in the seventies hippie vibes at the beginning of the show, it was definitely a killer. One of the special things about each couture piece was the uniqueness behind each item, and the way each model made it her own emphasising femininity on the runway.
And then when you thought the show couldn’t get any better, the start studded celebs rocked the front row in eye catching designs, that do make us rather jealous we aren’t them… take Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for example, was that not the best look she’s ever been seen in or what?
The best part about the night? The models stayed in their dresses after the show to attend the amFAR Paris dinner … looking equally as beautiful off the runway as they do on it.
Wimbledon kicked off the other day and with the heat rising this week, it’s time to prepare what you will be wearing; whether you are watching from inside the courts or outside. Wimbledon can be an excuse to dress up; especially knowing the glamorous A-Listers will be attending, so you will definitely want to look the part!
Here, at Thackeray’s we have decided to put together some perfect pieces with a pale palette running through each piece because, well…it is summer. One of the best things about Wimbledon is that there is no formal dress code so the key is wear what you feel comfortable in, and dress for the weather. With the likes of Kate Middleton, Suki Waterhouse and Victoria Beckham appearing at last year’s Wimbledon matches, these stylish celebs will be your Wimbledon fashion guru’s this year.
These Dr. Denim white skinny cropped leg jeans are the perfect fit trousers and ideal for you picnic goers who enjoy relaxing on the grass, and watching Wimbledon on the big screen. The cropped leg makes them different from other white jeans and adds the touch of summer!
These Armani Jeans leaf print trousers are that casual piece that you will need if you are just going to enjoy the day at Wimbledon lounging around on the green and even if you are dressing up for front seat viewing then these would look AMAZING with a white pair of heels and a sheer blouse.
This Ted Baker cami top is your essential summer piece and ideal for hot weather, especially with the light weight material. Pair this with a midi black skirt and some cute flat sandals for the perfect chilled Wimbledon look.
This Armani Jeans button down shirt is what you need if you are loving the preppy look that the tennis players wear. Paired with some floral trousers to give it a summer edge and wear it open if the weather is scorching!
This plain Calvin Klein shirt dress is new in and super trendy this summer, the loose fit will be easy to wear and the colour white is totally what the likes of Millie Macintosh is rocking this year.
Perhaps if you are wanting to go for a more darker colour scheme then this Ted Baker dress is for you. The collar detailing and white cuffs make it super chic and Suki Waterhouse would be in love with the floral print. This dress could be easily worn with a pair of flat sandals or maybe even some white sneakers for extra comfort.
