The New Faces of Fashion Week

With only Paris Fashion Week left, we’ve seen some new faces popping up all over the place.

1.  Kendall Jenner, is catching everyone’s attention by appearing in shows such as DVF, Dolce & Gabbana and Tommy Hilfiger. Personally, we think Kendall ( who has dropped her last name for the modelling world) is making a big name for herself outside of being associated with her Kardashian/Jenner family – and doing a great job of it! At only 18 years old Kendall has been praised by various people including Tommy Hilfiger “She is a great model and she is a sweetheart. She is going to be a big star!” showing what great potential she has in the modelling world. After cracking New York, Milan, and hopefully Paris, all she has to do next year is walk in London.

2.  Hollie-May Saker, has been walking through fashion week like a breeze, featuring in shows such as Moschino, Erdem and Dolce & Gabbana. The Liverpudlian born model, at only 19 years old is not only becoming the one to watch, she has also been dubbed the “new Cara Delevigne” due to her fresh, school-girl looks and silly backstage poses. After being the cover star of Miss Vogue’s October issue, we’re expecting big things!

3.  Hailey Baldwin, daughter of  Stephen Baldwin and cousin of Ireland Baldwin is 17 years old,  new to the catwalk modelling game, and made her début at Topshop Unique SS15. However with  campaigns such as French Connection and appearing in Tatler UK, we’re predicting next year is going to be BIG for Hailey.

Vivienne Westwood @ LFW

As London Fashion Week has come to and end, all eyes were on Vivienne Westwood’s Red Label show on the Sunday, where not only were her designs the main focus but also her political views.
Viv used her catwalk show to urge Scots to vote ‘yes’ in the referendum this Thursday by pinning ‘yes’ badges to not only herself but also the models.

To push her opinion further, her after show interview allowed her to voice her thoughts, stating “I hate England. I like Scotland because somehow I think they are better than we are. They are more democratic,” which was a shock to many, as we’ve all known the designer as a great dame of English fashion  since the 70’s. Saying this, throughout the seasons Westwood Red Label has always featured a classic Scottish tartan, which may have always hinted at her apparent love of Scotland!

However Vivs support didn’t make that much of a difference as it was found that 55% of votes said ‘NO’ to Scotland becoming an independent country.

Even though her political statement caught the attention of the media, yet again the fashion show featured the signature Westwood style we all love and know. Here are our favourites from this years show:
